During its “It’s Glowtime” event, Apple introduced the AirPods 4, alongside the iPhone 16 series and Apple Watch Series 10. The event also announced AirPods Max in five new colors and advanced hearing health features for AirPods Pro 2.

AirPods 4: The Best Yet

The AirPods 4 feature an all-new open-ear design focused on comfort and fit. Using advanced tools like 3D photogrammetry and laser topography, Apple collected over 50 million ear shape data points to create a design that fits a broader range of users globally.

The new acoustic architecture includes a low-distortion driver and high dynamic range amplifier, enhancing the sound experience. Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking delivers an immersive, tailored sound experience.

Powered by the H2 chip, the AirPods 4 offer Voice Isolation for clearer calls and advanced Siri Interactions, including nodding or shaking your head to respond to Siri prompts. A new force sensor on the stem allows you to control calls, music, and more with a single press.

Designed for gaming, the AirPods 4 support 16-bit, 48kHz audio and deliver low wireless audio latency. Battery life extends to 24 hours with the charging case, which is now 10% smaller and features USB-C charging.

Introducing AirPods 4 with ANC

For the first time, Apple brings Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to an open-ear design. This model of AirPods 4 leverages upgraded microphones, the H2 chip, and computational audio to reduce environmental noise like airplane engines and traffic.

Additional features include Transparency mode, Adaptive Audio, and Conversation Awareness, which automatically adjust audio settings depending on the surrounding environment.
